Overview
Forged in a furnace, the short sword is built for close-quarters combat where a longer blade would become a disadvantage rather than an asset. Its shorter length makes it easier to handle in tight spaces while still delivering the impact expected of a properly forged blade. The trade-off between reach and maneuverability is what defines the short sword as a weapon, making it a deliberate choice for situations where space is limited and a full-length sword would be too unwieldy to use effectively. Its name is straightforward and so is its purpose.
