Overview
The bolo is a traditional Filipino farmer's tool with deep practical roots, historically used to harvest coconuts, cut wheat, and clear vegetation as much as it is used in combat. Its dual life as both a farming implement and a weapon of home defense is reflected most directly in the Boloman, who carries one as their primary weapon having never asked to be a soldier in the first place. The bolo's widespread availability among civilians is part of what makes it such a natural fit for those who were pulled into the conflict without formal military equipment. It is a weapon defined by its context as much as its design.
Trivia
Bolo is the first melee weapon to be added in the game.
