Overview
A box that can contain any item in the game, making each one a potential source of something useful depending on what you need at the time. Some item boxes can be opened more than once, making them worth revisiting if you pass by one again later in a run rather than assuming it has nothing left. The range of what an item box can contain is broad enough that opening one is rarely a wasted action. Knowing which boxes can be opened multiple times and which cannot is a small piece of knowledge that adds up over the course of a run.
